I would look at HogDeluxe, they just came out with a set of springer bags that are sweet. I just ordered a set and I believe you can check them out on a deluxe at NEW MOD Month thread. They are bigger than the Harley's, have quick disconnect to remove, and will hold up better. You got to check them out...
I had a hard time finding the dimensions also, but if I was looking at the right bags, then for that price you should be able to put a desk top PC in it. Priced from $1,500 to $3,500 on ebay! They are good looking bags though
The HD Springer bags should fit a Note Book, they are about the same size as the Heritage Bags , just a little smaller on top because of the flap top instead of the "box top" lid.
I dont know what your paying but look at the Boss Bags Springer # 37 (13 1/2 x 7 1/4 x 20 1/2 ) they fit 37 12oz cans each at $ 1000.00 including Phantom quick release mounts or the Hog Deluxe Springer Bags for $ 750.00 including EZ Brackets or Osprey makes a Springer style bag for about $ 500 with EZ Brackets.
I like them both but the Hog Deluxe bags top flap is not quite as much of an angle (still a little like a "box top lid) as the HD or Boss Bags are.
Boss bags told me that the laptop wouldn't fit. J will check out the hog deluxe. The springer bags are $350 per bag
I would only put the laptop in, not the actual laptop bag. Just want to make sure that the opening in the bag will accommodate the dimensions I listed. 13 1/2" / 8 1/2".
Thank you for the replys. Sounds like the bags will work but I will check out the hog deluxe ones before I pull the trigger on the Harley springer bags
Are you looking at the Springer Classic or the Heritage Springer (larger bags)? I have the Springer Classic bags and a 13" laptop will fit. It is tight and you need to slide it in like a J to get it in, but it works and there is still room for some stuff around it. Here are the bags on eBay if you are not sure. The Heritage Springer bags are larger so I wouldn't think you would have a problem.
One disadvantage to these bags is the back is curved in to clear the bike, and they are actually smaller inside than they look. The good part about them, they come off in 5 mins with a ratchet, two bolts on each side on the fender strut.
