P.S. The SERT and the PC III seem to be the most adjustable units on the market, the PC III being better for the home user because of ease of adjustability. You can adjust on the fly with a PC. You can even lean it out for a long trip and getter mileage and then fatten it back up when you get there. I just bought my 07 and I don't know which way I'm gonna go with it. I don't want to eliminate my O2 sensors.
Vance & Hines also told me that installation of a K&N air filter in the stock housing would also be sufficient for using the FuelPak in you are looking for a low-cost solution.
I noticed that one of our sponsers Eastern Performance Cycle has the SE air cleaner at a discounted price of $119 and I think free shipping, not sure about the shipping. That beats the $139 charged by the dealer here locally.
If you put on the V&H pipes and don't change the air cleaner you don't need to even install the Fuelpak. I think a lot of you have said that.
I put on my V&H BigShot Staggered pipes and ran them with the stock air cleaner. The bike ran like a top and had a nice sound.
I then put on the SEAC and installed the FuelPac and the bike really woke up! Damn the power went up a lot! Big difference in power and torque but a little less smoothness at low rpms.
I just received my V & H pipes and the fuelpak - on the instructions it says that the fuelpak can only be used with a high performance air cleaner. Is this correct? I can't use the stock air cleaner with this?
Send it back and get something that is programmable, like pc111, With fuelpak you only get canned maps.
