I gotta get someone to take a look at the front end of my Deluxe as it seems to feel a little 'loose' not sure if thats the right term,
it went in for a service the other week and I mentioned it was chattering a little especially under braking, so they adjusted the headstock bearings, it doesnt chatter under braking anymore but still does it at other times, wondering what it might be. I think it might still need adjusting some more.
Any ideas

 

I had fork "rattle" on my '07 Heritage. When riding, everytime the forks changed direction it made a metallic clicking or rattling sound, several times a second, or when stopped, whenever I pumped the forks. Had to have new tubes & seals installed.

Dont think mines as bad as that, if its not the headstock, which I still think it is, I got the HD mechanic to tighten them for me cos I'm known for being a little heavy handed, and would probably have tightened them too much, however i dont think he's tightened them enough, we'll see as it going it in for new wheels in 2 weeks.
I'm wondering what the symptoms are when you have loose spokes or maybe wheel bearings.
