Last night you pretended to be playing, and I (and a few others) played along.

Same applied this morning. Thought it was a game.

Now if you want to pretend that this was serious and drag the managers into it, well I guess it's time you play with yourself. (You know how).

I'm done with this silly game. Bait & switch? Too funny!

+1000 on the friendly after hours refreshments . I try to take Mac and Charlie a 12pk of beer when they rework their schedule to fir my bike in. Labor is 75bux/hr in edmond which is reasonable imho these days. A lift and some proper tools is in my future, but for now I'll take it in if I need to.

Now wait just a dang second!!! You want reasonably fast service that is done right the first time? What...you want to be kept in the loop on the status of your $20,000 vehicle too?

Not here buddy!

Signed

Yeah, what was I thinking...
The good news is the bolt came in...
Also in the meantime, I have gotten some good deals on Ebay for some parts: $20 For passenger pegs and hardware, $70 for a sissy bar and $37 for a pillion..
Guess I'll have to put those on myself so I don't get everyone pissed off that I don't "do it myself"

Supposedly they had everything except the windshield... I think waiting 7 WEEKS to bitch a little, is pretty good, especially for a guy like me who has no patience to begin with. It could also be that I ran out of Valium....

i agree! there not complicated machines! i had a oil leak a month back, workshop manager said it was probably inner primary seal, i asked how much? $100 for gasket set and 4-5 hours labour @ $90 an hour!! wow! i did it myself, i had to buy one larger socket i didnt have 1 1/2" and 1/4" torque wrench, just under $100 and i get to keep them! dont mind buyin tools!
so the gasket set and tools under $200, saving of $300+ and didnt have to get the stories of why it wasnt done!
changing a seat is one screw? a detachable sissy bar is detachable! why a dealer? theres a $100 labour right there
The two things I originally took the bike in was for the windshield and the 2000 service. When I went to take the Lepera seat off, I realised the guy who put it on Used a regular nut and bolt, so you couldn't get the bolt out because the nut kept spinning underneath, SO since it was in the shop I told the guy - if you have to take the wheel off (which he did) to get to that nut, then while you are at it put on the detachable hardware for the sissy bar and move the lights back. I was going to do these two things my self but like I said since he had to take the wheel off anyways...
The seat is the same thing, he said he had the bolt in stock so I thought well since you got the old seat off, I may as well have them put the old one back on..
This was all decided on the first day that I dropped it off....
