rear tire changed..problem NOT Solved...may take it to the indy as i am not sure on the whole neck bearing check?
any other ideas before i get raped on price?
Told you!
Sorry, asg13. I meant that more for the people who suggested that your rear tire was causing your springer front end to wobble. Seriously! I have even ridden my bike home from work on a practically flat rear tire that was both very worn and near the point of replacing and had a screw in it. It was around midnight and in the 50's outside. I wasn't planning on being out all night trying to get my bike towed somewhere an paying all kinds of money to get assistance. So I rode my Bones to a station across the street, aired up the tire knowing that it would probably go flat again before I got home and made the 16 or so mile ride home, much of it on the interstate at around 65 mph. Other than the bike taking a little more effort to corner on that low rear tire, I never felt any wobbling of any kind, front or back. Not that I would recommend that to anyone but just trying to make a point if the front wobbles, then its safe to start looking into the front before you eliminate it as a problem and move on to the complete opposite end of your scoot to try and find the issue.
As one reply stated, have your neck bearing fall away checked. And honestly, this is so easy to do that you could learn to do it yourself and save some money since it has to be done every 2500 miles on a springer. All you need is a neck bearing adjustment socket which costs around $30-40 but pays for itself in one use.
Next I would have your wheel checked for out of round which would include checking the spokes for tightness. Both of these services are labor only and should not require the cost of parts unless something needs to be replaced or they re-balance your wheel and charge you for new wheel weights. When they trued my wheel under warranty I belive it was marked as an hour labor including removal and install of wheel. Even if I was paying for that out of pocket, it really isn't too much for the peace of mind it provides and if it solves the problem.
Good luck.

i had a similar situation, it was a combination of 2 things. 1st: Wrong tire pressure, to much pressure caused the tire to cope. loose spokes was the 2nd issue. take a thick guitar pick to your spokes and you will be able to pick out your loose ones.
I understand exactly what your going through back when I have my Cross Bones, mine started after 3000 Kms and I bought my Cross Bones brand new.
It was the worst feeling ever let alone not being able to find the root cause of it. I made HD change the front tire, rear and then the risers and then the neck bearing. The death wobble would just never go, so I rolled back into Harley and gave them 02 choices. Either they replace the front end out or give me a brand new bike.
So they said the only thing we haven't tried yet is change the front rim, So i replied what are you waiting for? an invitation? Chop Chop and get it done otherwise you owe me a new bike.
End result and root cause was from the front spokes, I would of thought they would checked that first! Lesson learnt for them
Again, this may not be your case as others have stated it could just be the neck bearing loose, nevertheless since you have bought the bike with recent complete service done, I think they should resolve it for you free of charge.
hey my 09 Bones developed a wobble this past season, checked everything starting at the rubber(which was a brand new front) and working in.
GREASE!!!!
Popped the gun on the neck bearing and put over 1/2 a tube of grease in it and presto!
Needless to say I'm packing that neck every 5000km now, ya ya I know I should have been doing it anyways.
bike still in shop 3 weeks and counting..claim they sbroke the 3 tooth socket trying to get into springer...say kneck bearing not the issue now lookin into rockers.I told them check the tire and the spoke..which they have not..Sounds like im gonna get a dick stuck in my @ss on this deal! Feel a good screwin comin..
not sur ewhat the deal is..7000 miles buy the way!
Sitting at just over 10k right now. I had a slight wobble at 60-70 much like you did. I did my 10k service on the front end, checked my spokes (still never been loose), and greased the neck. The wobble is gone, and she rides like she's on rails. My fall away has never been out of spec so I have yet to adjust it, and the only thing I have actually done is maintain air pressure and grease the neck.
Hope this helps, and hopefully the wobble really is gone. I don't like the dealer working on my bike for me, it always leaves me wondering if they did the with the right way. With my wobble, it seems to have been caused by low pressure in the front tire. When I went to add grease, it just oozed out meaning it was already full.
thanks..ya i checked pressure and what not..I know i spoke to the stealer on a few occasions while they were progressing in what they were doing..the said the neck bearings were in spec and the rockers seemed fine...I would have imagined they would have checked the spokes in the beginning, WHICH THEY DID NOT! So looks like im payin for a bunch of uncalled for labor!
Hopefully i can get a direct answer when i pick it up!

Why are you being charged for labor? Are they not suppose to only charge when they are doing work required and not what they can't find?
It's a bummer what your going through, just a quick question? Do you have the stock apes? or did it come with an aftermarket one?
