2009 Cross Bones Wobble/Shake
This did not help during the wobble which is why I switched to heavy duty bushings. By the way I ended up installing 16"wild chubby apes which was much more thicker then the skinny 12" stock but the root cause I think was my neck bearing and loose spokes as after all the trails I got HD to do I never suffered a wobble again. So the last change was the apes with the bushings, but I really think it was the spokes and neck bearing for me.
I could have smashed

It's a bummer what your going through, just a quick question? Do you have the stock apes? or did it come with an aftermarket one?
I have 14" road 6 bars now, but the problem occured with the stockers...
Gradually got worse through last ridin season..Im going to firem them up a bit when i pick the bike up tomorrow..
the answer the owner gave me..WE R NOT SURE WHAT WAS CAUSING IT, BUT ITS FIXED NOW..just isnt gonna cut it...BULLSHIT!
your bonz was sweet man..really dig the exhaust!
The pipes were Tail Gunner True Duals and always got me attention when parked or at the traffic lights. If you want those one of a kind pipes they are just that, plus oyou have the option of baffled or non-baffled. Of course I went for non-baffled cause when she use to back fire at night it just looked amazing with the rotors going.
However they use to scrape during the twisties as I did order them extra long
I also had the V&H's True Duals as my main pipes and they never scrapped, so when my friend bought my Cross Bones off me he wanted the V&Hs on. So the Tail gunners were on the shelf for about a month and then got sold to another friend who owned a fatboy lo.
If you haven't changed out the riser bushings I would still highly recommend you changing them as the stock rubber ones are crap.
Let me know how it turns out and hope the problem is solved once and for all cause I know the pain you are going through

I sincerely hope your issue will be resolved when you pick her up tomorrow and you can bet I'll be glued to this thread to find out what happens. Good luck.
Regardless, tires are the most important part of a bike. I check mine EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO OUT. Whatever it is, don't stand pat until it is COMPLETELY addressed.

After a year of riding, little mileage i might add, the wobble really got bat..If i were to take my hands off the handle bars, i would be TOAST!
Now, i took the bike to a local Independant dealer seeing as though it should have been about a 30 min- 1hr fix...Ya right, boy was i wrong!
Ill keep all posted on this today..if the problems not fixed, and they cant give me a straight answer, Ill put the SHOP ON BLAST on here! I do not mind to pay for something, however im not a complete dumbass either...friend of mine does all my work for this reason (normally)..
Them being professionals, not sure why u have to pay for labor while they GUESS whats wrong..anyone kno what a rocker adjustment on a springer normally runs..
Either way, im contactin a local harley dealer tomorrow to see if i can get them to email/fax a quote for rocker arm adjustment just to see what the price is..I was told it should be about and hour job!

Am i mistaken or should I just have to pay for what caused the problem..thats why they are PRO's
Like rebuilding a motor and the problem end up being the starter!
