Default What's the difference: Rinehart and Bub7?

I've been doing research on which 2 into 1 exhaust I'd like to put on the scoot, I've narrowed it down to Rinehart, V&H Competition Outlaw or an RB racing.

I called Rinehart in January and they said they were supposed to be coming out with a new 2:1 by February and it's now March and I haven't seen/heard anything. I was looking on ebay and can't find any used or new. When are they coming out with the new 2 into 1?

I thought Rinehart and BUB7 were the same company, or did a combined exhaust. Does anyone know any more about this? Do both exhausts produce the same numbers? I found a Bub7 Lakester exhaust on ebay that looks good but I've never seen/heard one.

Not sure about the commercial relationship between Bub and Rinehart but do know that the Rinehart head pipes are stepped down pipes with three steps; Bubs step down but with two steps. A three stepped head pipe is more likely to generate low end power and resist reversion than a two stepped head pipe. Rineharts are also more expensive; I think.

The above is correct. Rinehart pipes USED to be manufactured by Bub, but are not any longer. They are now manufactured by Clearstrem or Clearline or something. Regardless Rinehart sometimes takes a while to get their products to market but they are top notch all the way. Bub makes quality stuff as well. I ahve foudn taht Rineharts usually have a deeper, lower Rumble than many other brands. Every exhaust has it pluses and minuses.

I had a Bub 7 on my Dyna. It was a great sounding pipe!
