I didn't realize that Licks had a waiting list. Damn, wish I would have ordered a Rockhard sooner. Haha... Anyone have any idea on how long it will take to get more back in stock?
Glad I got in on this thread in the beginning before all the helmets sold out. Have you gotten your NovDot yet or just put yourself on the waiting list?
It's the second "pre-buy" deal. supposed to go out late may or early june.
Yeah, that sucks. Probably supposed to replace it now that it's been dropped. Anyone have a Daytona 3/4 that they can review? I know one guy says he likes the Rockhard better, but the Daytona is supposed to be even smaller. I am wondering about looks and comfort.
i got this buddy, every time he buys a new helmet, he takes it outside and drops it intentionally..that way he doesn't feel bad if he ever drops it again. I know most of the protection comes from compressed styrofoam and stuff, but i don't get how dropping it from 3 feet damages it so badly that i needs to be replaced, yet if you crash doing 70mph it's supposed to protect you.. just based on physics, it doesn't seem logical.
Anytime someone thinks they look bad in a helmet, just watch "The Bucket List" and check out Jack Nicholson in that thing, and everything else looks that much better... looks like Barbara Makulski behind the wheel... long gone are the days of Easy Rider.

I have never seen the Daytona 3/4 in person but I have heard that the padding on the sides either isn't thick enough or doesn't go low enough to get a good "seal" on the side of your melon. The guy that said that said he gets a lot of wind noise and some lift because of it....
Stay away from the daytona. I own one as well as the Rockhard. The Daytona is basically a 1/2 helmet with ear flaps grafted on. This gives you a "easter bonnet" look. The padding in the ear flaps is non existant. It's great for trapping bugs in there because there is no seal. The bugs then proceed to buzz in your ear drum until you can pull over and get it out. It's very annoying. The Rockhard fits much more snugly and the quality is far better.
