Default lowering stock shocks

i have a 2011 fatboy and need to lower the shocks like 1 to 1 1/2 inches can you lower the stock somehow or do i need to get a lowering kit?

+1 On the Progressive 422's. If you going to go through with lowering it you'll love the improved spring and dampening.

How much money you looking to spend? Best route out there but quite expesnive are the shotgun shocks... nothing like those!

I'm thinking of getting some Progressive 422s or Airtails. I haven't decided which yet. I don't know if the Airtails are worth the extra cash.

Like it was saidhow much are you willing to spend? Lowering bolts - 40-100 dollars all the way to shotgun shocks(air suspension) priceless.
