I have a lowering kit that I had on my EGC for just a couple of days. Lowers the bike from either 1 inch or 2 1/4. You use your stock shocks, just changes the angle. It worked good, but I'm looking to get a softer ride and so far haven't found anything yet. If your interested in my lowering kit I'll sell it to you for $10.00 less than I paid for it. Email me if you're interested. I don't think this kit will work if you have soft bags on your RK.
H-d P&A book listtwo front end kits for Road Kings it will lower front 1 inch. 3/4 inchlower rear shocks, also if you lower bolth ends floorboards may scrap once in a while.
Just take care...I installed a kit like the one you're describing at the lower setting on my Ultra and within 60 miles 2-up loaded for a weekend, I had worn through the rear wiring harness and probably a couple of thousand miles worth of rear tire. Expensive mistake!!
i arnott gettin' lowering blocks.and i arnott buying progressives . and i arnott getting legends. but i arnott gonna say what i'm saving for............. "be vewy vewy quiet"
I've got 1 1/4" adjustable on my Glide, got them on ebay from a guy out of Canada. They work great and haven't had any problems. He recommends don't go any lower than 1 1/4" if your ridin two but you can get lowering blocks that slam it down 3 in., Then you have to worry in the corners. You could take a helluva tumble in a corner or over a speed bump.
ORIGINAL: 6speed
I want to lower the rear, any reccomendations, always ride solo.Thinking of a lowering kit,Thanks
