I need some advice on what rear lowering kit to buy, to lower it an inch. There seems to be many to choose from. I was looking at bagger werx . Suggestions ?
I used them for temporary height fix until I could replace them with lower shocks. I did not feel too comfortable about the fact that that small piece of metal could hold all that banging and weight in the rear of the bike.

I felt the exact same way. I went with SG shocks in the rear and a Progressive Drop-In kit in the front. It rides good and I feel a tad safer.
I had a customers bike in on Monday whom had installed a bolt on lowering kit on his bike. I don;t know what brand it was but the tire had a huge chunk out of it and the inside of the fender was worn smooth from the tire rubbing on it. He was lucky the wiring harness to the brake light did not get cut by the tire.
His lowering block had three positions and he had it set on the middle hole. We moved it back to the highest position which still sits lower than stock.
The issue with these brackets is two fold. First, the less than sufficient stock shocks barely work at the stock angle. When you angle them further they ride even worse. Second, issues like my customer had can occur.
The very first thing changed on my bagger when i bought it was the rear shocks as the 2013 FLTRX comes with the 12" air shocks like the Street Glide. For me that was not going to work. Plenty of people (many of friends as well) think stock suspension is "great" and that is fine. My opinion varies drastically and if i were to buy a new bagger I would do the same again.
I felt the same as knife_edge and RaceFace and heard a few negatives about the bolt-ons. I went with the HD Profile Lows front and rear with a seat mod, which got me more planted. I've since changed out the wheels with 21" fronts and suspension to Ohlins and monotubes. I feel more comfortable now with more bend in the knees.
L A choppers looks like the only kit ,that's beefy enough ,to get the job done long term. They look like very high quality, plus, they retain the stock shock angle. I ride solo 100%. All excess weight is removed from the rear end, and will stay that way.

What bike do u have? If it's a RK and u want to drop 1" find a stock set of shocks from a street glide they are 12" and stock RK are 13".
If you have something with a 12" shock and want to go lower check out bitchin baggers. They redid my shocks and they are 11 1/4". Lifetime warranty
