Default Lowering a springer?

I came across the thread a member posted where he put a 21in wheel on his Cross Bones. In there someone posted a link to a springer lowering kit.

My questions are how does this affect the handling and the position of the rockers? My guess is it would increase the angle of the rockers and reduce suspension travel.

Any ideas or pics of this kit installed on a bike?

Here's the link that was posted:

That would be me. I didn't get the lower kit because the front end didn't look as bad as I though it would. I did speak to a guy that did lower the front end on his Xbones and he said there was very lil travel and it would feel like a rigid frontend.

I was also told the Burley Kit would work but neither Burley or JP will confirm.

On a conventional front end replacing the 16in wheel with a 21in wheel will change the trail, and thus the feel of the bike dramatically. The taller tire increases the trail and although it stabilizes at higher speeds, makes the bike feel heavy and floppy at low speed, such as in a parking lot. (I learned this from experience.)

Springers however are affected little by trail, and more by the angle the rocker is in relation to the ground. Where the stock settings are, are near perfect. The wheel axle is slightly higher than the rocker pivot. Changing the springs would lower the rocket pivot and would, in theory, make the bike feel heavier and floppy, much like increasing the trail.

I know a lot about the math and what the numbers SAY it should be, but as I'm sure many of you have found, real life works different sometimes.

The taller front wheel increases the trail by essentially increasing the rake, by tilting the bike backwards ever so slightly. Thus affecting the handling.
