Possible isolation of exact area would help paint mental picture to question.
example: inner primary near belt ,shifter shaft or outer primary near floor board torx drain bolt.
2009 Fatboy 5,000 miles. recently just installed the kuryakyn inner primary cover as well as the battistini derby cover maybe its something wrong I did when installing the derby cover? i thought it was just an easy swap from the stock one.... have been riding for 3 days now and just today it started to leak... its leaking right under the derby cover. Hope all of this information will help you guys help me! thank you
Wipe it off good and watch. Bet it's the outer primary cover. Just a guess but when I had mine off I was amazed how warped it was. You need to start in the middle and slowly do top and bottom working out. I did it in about 3 steps before I got to torque. It would be very easy to not get it down flat. Harley's gasket is 3 layer with a slight v in it. I still used just a smear of RTV. I torqued by fill but I work on this stuff all the time. I would not normally think of any fluid in a Harley that is clear goeey liquid. Most all in mine is black oily.
