I don't need no lesson on division. The ratio's are listed, the differences are plain and clear. Big Boys site has a calculator that will tell you everything you need to know when doing gear changes.

I changed my clutch basket sprocket to achieve a similar sized change (on purpose). I replaced the stock 46 tooth gear for a 49. The end result is approxamately the same as the one you are "not debating" about.
I saw the exact differences on the calculator proir to doing so, and I feel the difference on the road.

I am not assuming stuff. I have actually experienced it.
Nothing to debate about. You know not what you speak of.

And are arguing it hard. LOL How can you argue stuff based on just an assumption???????

Call me a liar, and call the other guy who also experienced it a lair too.(tunaman)
And you haven't even experienced it either. LOL We have.

One can cheat themselves out of boatloads of knowledge, by slamming the door on information presented to you!

Blah, blah, blah..
You spew more stupidity than Charley Sheen.
You don't need a lesson in division because you are not equipped to understand that the difference isn't 18% in 3rd gear. You can disagree with me, that's fine, but the rest of it is a joke..
Nobody has or is is calling anybody here a liar, but I am calling you a moron who should stay in his mobile home.....

Who the *** said anything about 18%?
No one was talking about percentages.

Don't you dare say that I would say anything that stooopid.

Show me a post that shows me sayin' 18%. That's a huge amount and wouldn't even be practical to make such a change! No one even wants such a change.

You need to try breaking the pill in half next time, for you are halucinating!
That, and you know NOTHING about gearing.

You should be reading and learning, not flapping your jaws.

.18 (not .018 btw) is a very noticable difference. 250-300 rpms easy.
Could easily make the difference between being at a shiftpoint or not.

What's .18 ???
Hello??

For the simple minded: (George C the troll)

2005 FLSTF
3rd: 4.953

2007 FLSTF
3rd – 4.774

4.953 - 4.774 = 0.179 (.18) Not 18% difference!

4.953 minus an 18% difference would be 4.06.
Almost equivalent to shifting into another gear, LOL

I can't believe this dude is that dense, and yet ornery at the same time!!!!!!!!

Not surprising..
How's uncle dad?
Right, it's not 18% gearing difference, but .18 to 1 is..
.18 is .18 to 1 That equals 18%.

.18 to what number? Don't bother. I've got to go out for dinner..
