Default ABS Brakes and security

I am doing my research to buy a 2011 Fat Boy Lo, and I am wonder if the ABS brakes and security system worth the money?

I like the idea of the security system. You can buy a key fob remote that keeps you informed of when the bike gets tampered with. It's nice because my bike isn't always in a garage. For instance, at work it is in a covered port, but still easy for people to get to. Also at the store. The HD website says the remote receiver works up to 1/2mi away. I ordered my bike with the security system.

I have never ridden with ABS on a motorcycle though. That would be interesting.

Yes. It's worth it just for the ABS. The security is just a bonus. Get the ABS...you'll be much happier. If you don't get it now, you can't really just add it later.

My opinion - any new bike, order the ABS. Several of my riding buddies have newer bikes and each of them love the braking confidence, especially on wet roads.

I'm guessing the Cross Bones doesn't come with ABS because of the Springer?

It's not offered on the cross bones, but I'm guessing that's because this is the last model year.

Get the ABS and don't look back.

Hypothectically speaking, what would be involved in adding ABS?

That's a good guess, but the theory has a hole in it. It's the last year of the Rocker C also, and the ABS if offered with it.
