Default Question about front axle.

I just got the service manual, and i installed my front tire and axle and all then torque the nut. Well on the right side i have two cap screws with allen heads on them to hold up the axle. Well the service manual refers to fastenals and they have nuts instead of cap screws. So do i set the same torque on these screws as the nuts?

Just tighten them up snug. Practice with a torque wrench until you can "feel" the snugness... then you will be ready grasshopper.

You may be looking at the wrong picture or reading the text below the wrong reference. My service manual reference to two types for my model year. My Deuce has cap screws which is what I think you said you have They are 15-21lbs for mine. The ST,STC , STB and FLSTF have nuts and are 11-15lbs. Also on mine you snug front and then rear, torque front first. You really need to get this straight on what you have and the proper torque or your ride may be your last ride.
