Seriously thinking about getting true duals for my Lo. Has anyone done this? Or anything similar? Im trying to find some pictures to get a good idea. Think there will be any issue with that install?
Do i need to do a coil relocate to make room for the cross over of the left pipe?
Iv never installed new exhaust so any pointers will help.
LA Choppers, Freedom Performance, and Samson all make true dual systems that fit the 2010 Fatboy (FLSTF).. but i dont know how different it would be for the Lo, because I haven't seen a 2010 FLSTF to compare mine to
It should look good. True it's more of a deluxe/heritage look, but I can't see why it wouldn't look good on a low. Maybe you should powdercoat the duals black with black fishtail tips. That would probably look great!
Im looking at V&H duals with slash tips actually. And either black heat wrap or PC. I think heat wrap would keep a nice old school look to it. I feel weird about being the first to try this haha.
i bought the lo a week after it dropped in 2010, been thinking of chrome 33" cholos by samson and wrapping them to the tip of the fins, leaving 1/2" or less of the chrome showing. some 16" wild 1 chubbys in black. Black out the front end with just chrome bolts on the sides, maybe little chrome bulett signals front and back and tripple tree chrome with black and chrome carlini piston risers. flat black the struts, and all the parts that are that alloy look alike crap. ive been thinking about it for the longest. ive been waiting to see something similar for ever. on you tube i seen one with hard bags and new rear fender looking sick!! probablly had 20" apes. dont know if its worth doing all that, or just getting rid of it and get a street glide.
I know a guy who put on true duals to his Lo, loved the look but said when your at a stop your left leg burns up pretty fast where your sitting so low.
