Default 07 Heritage - pipes?

I recently purchased a 07 Heritage and would lie to replace the pipes. I have a friend who purchased his after I did and put SE on his but doesn't sound much different than mine with stoc pipes. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated.

I also have the 07 heritage. I put on the Rush slip-ons. They have baffles that vary from 1.5 to 2.5 in 1/4 inch intervals. The smaller the baffle the quieter the sound. I put on the 1.75 inch baffle and they are about perfect for me. Louder than the SE,s but not like the thunder headers I had before. Rush is at www.epiflex.com

I also installed the Rush mufflers (1.75" baffles) on my '07 Heritage and am happy with them.

I have a set of SE's for it as well with 500 miles on them if you want to try them for a reasonable price.

I installed the Rush slip-ons with the 2" baffle. I now have a bike that sounds like a Harley!

Thanks for the replys. Did you do any other upgrades or changes with the mufflers like PC or air breather. I've had people tell me that I will need to changes these also if I change out the mufflers. Thinking about going ahead and ordering the Rush slip ons with the 2" baffles but wanted make sure the other changes were not required. Thanks again for your help.

Those of you that installed Rush slip ons, did you also do the power commander install as well? Thanks
Oh, what was the price of these slip ons. I couldn't find a price list anywhere.

I installed the stage 1 kit and a powercommander that I got from Jamie at fuelmoto. Powercommander has not released a map for Rush pipes yet but I did contact them and they said it is on the list to be done because the rush pipes have been a popular choice on the 07 Heritage. I loaded the map for the Vance and hines Staggered and stage 1 mod and then richend up the cruising range between 1750-3000rpm and throttle position 5-40. I also loaded the accelerator pump feature and tweaked it a little. It is a night and day difference. The 96 really comes alive! The Rush pipes have a deep tone that I like very much. The 2" baffle is pretty loud though (which I like!), if you are looking to just go a little louder than stock then I would suggest the 1.75" baffle. The nice thing about the rush pipes is that you have 4 baffle sizes to choose from for your desired loudness. My suggestion is to do the pipes, powercommander and stage 1 all at the same time. It is a difference you can really feel. http://www.epiflex.com is the website for the rush pipes. Call them and tell them where you are from and they will let you know who your local dealers are. Mine was the harley shop by my house. Price was 269.00.
