Default Detachable sissy bar bushing covers???

After a lot of stalling for time I finally had to buy a sissy bar for the wife. I looked all over for a good looking detachable black one for my Nightrain. After all that looking I bought the extremely over priced Harley detachable one. I really don't like to look of a sissy bar on that bike so the detachable one was a compromise. I after the installation I will be left with two sets of plastic bushings on each side of the bike that look worse than the sissy bar. [:@] I noticed some bikes posted here have a chrome cover over these bushings. Does anyone know where I can get these covers?

Thanks,
CLL

The HD detachable leaves the plastic bushings on the bike thats one of the reasons that a lot of people like the www.bubbasbrakes.com detachable set up. the hardware for them are only 4 chrome shouldered cap bolts that replace the bolts in your struts, they only stick out about 1/8 inch and are chrome (like baby moon caps) and the nylon bushings are mounted on the sideplates.

It looks like their site is under construction. Is there another site that shows pictures/prices?

Oh yeah,

look at your HD parts manual or the harley site to find the chrome covers for the HD detachable sissy bar mounting hardware.

Thanks, I tried that briefly but didn't have much luck. Worst case, I'll just wait until the site comes back up.

Same bike and same feelings about the bar as you....

I'm thinking of swapping seats for the times I'm doing 2 up riding.... something that looks good and has a built in sissy bar as part of the seat.
