Default Stripped Screw!!

Good Morning everyone...
I have just about given up...
Got a stripped screw in my transmission and have tried everything.
I have tried screw extractors, and every other little trick in the book that I know of... Anyone have any last recommendations before I take it to the stealership?!?!?!

Any advice is much appreciated especially after I have been working for over 12 hours on my bike this week.....

Is that the side tranny cover? Have you tried using a bit that is one size larger and hammering it in there to see if you can get it to work?

If nothing else works, drill the head off. Go slow so you don't burn your bits up.

If you can still get a bit into it apply some valve grinding compond to it, that will help fill the void and grab better.

Another option is to use a dremel and cut a slot in the head so you can get a screwdriver on it.

The screw has broken in it.... There is no more head... I have tried drilling a hole in it so I can place a screw extractor in it then twist it off but no luck with that... I am about done and extremely tired! It just sucks that all the money I saved by doing everything to my bike is now going to go anyways....

Drew, need to speak to you in about a week to get the shotgun shocks!

How did the head break off the screw? Did you turn it the wrong way?

I will post a pictue of it when I get home this evening from work... It has been the biggest pain in the a$$ ..... I was finally able to take off my pipes, change the baffle, change the rear master cylinder, apply some chrome covers (inner primary, engine, oil lines, and now just missing the rear cylinder and transmission covers) as well as battistini horn cover and the flush gas gauge and gas cap... Taking the baffles out was a painful process until I over tightened the screw for the kuryakyn transmission cover (forgot to lock the troque wrench and troqued uuntil the screw broke. careless newby mistake, yes I am kickin my a$$ over it!!). And this has been the biggest pain ever....

It will all work out. We have all made mistakes in our time.
