I vote to stay away from the Duece. You can find some later models of other bikes in that price range. Like another said, not much you can do with it other than what it already is.

I paid 12 for my Deuce 2 weeks ago with 9K miles and tons of chrome and upgrades. Plus I got a garage full of stock and replacement parts. I think I can build a 2nd Deuce if I had a frame.

Every Deuce I looked at over the winter was 14 - 16 so I feel I got a good deal, your deal sounds good to me.

Price seems very reasonable for year, etc. I got my 06 in November for 10k with only 6k miles and it had some upgrades. I traded from a 03 VRod and absolutely love my Deuce

I like the deuce, but you shouldn't have to convince yourself to buy a certain bike there are a lot of choices out there. You should know it when you see it. Don't buy a bike because it's a good deal and you think it will do or is just OK to you. Someone is going to hate your bike and someone else will love it, you might as well be the one that loves it.

Check out todd's motorcycles in ma.he has three, one is an 05 with 12 miles on it,it came from a collector, not that you are going to come all the way up here, just to get an idea of prices,do an ebay search, there are more deuces than night trains out there and they stopped makeing them in 07,2 years earlyer than the nt.i looked for 6 months and saw many dueces 03-05"s in the 85 to 95 range with much less miles.i paid 8900 for my train with all the mods done and only 5100 miles, you are in season now so prices are higher, from what i have seen i feel that is high
