RE: Slip on mufflers
There's no universal answer to this question as it depends on the mufflers you install. I'm going with a set of Rush mufflers with my Fat Boy and I was told by Rush and my Harley dealer that I could go up to the 2.00" baffles version without needing reprogramming as long as I didn't change anything else (intake, air filter, etc).

Im leaning toward the rush also, but several post say you need a power comm. or others to prevent a lean condition.
Only if you.........
A. Change your intake and/or air filter
AND/OR
B. Go with the largest baffles
If you call RUSH, they can advise you regarding which of their mufflers you can use without having to reflash. In the case of my '07 Fat Boy, as long as I stick with the 2.00" or smaller baffles and don't do any other mods, I don't need a reflash.
Just curious XTrooper3936. I also have an '07 Fatboy Peace Officer Edition. Did you choose the Rush over V&H or Rineharts because of the sound or the looks? I can't decide which after market exhaust to go with for my bike. I'm primarily interested in the sound quality as long as performance is not downgraded.

I put the Rush slip ons on my 07 Fatboy and it might be just me but the bike feels stronger. If you accelerate after a slow down without downshifting, it doesn't seem to lug nearly as much. Sound is perfect. I checked the spark plug color and, while it was an acceptable light tan color, I've opted to put a Dobeck FI-1440ST "plug & play" module on. I'm planning to install a SE air kit on so I wanted to be ready for that. The slip-ons do alot to cover up the 5th gear noise too.
