I just installed the Arlen Ness 3" extended control kit yesterday - $151 from Eastern Performance Cycles off eBay. Kit consists of brackets that physically move your stock controls 3" forward (someone here had a great tip to paint the bolt heads black before installing, which was an excellent suggestion), a longer shift connector rod, and a longer, braided steel rear brake line (actually, it ended up being an inch or two TOO long for my 06 Deuce, but a little meandering in its course soaked up the excess). Maybe an hour and a half all told, plus bleeding the rear brake after install - with the bolt heads already painted the night before. Pretty easy, even for an all-thumbs type like me. Took it out today and the added comfort is WONDERFUL. I'm really happy with it.

Saint,
Finally got the pictures so you can get an idea of what a 3" extension will give you. I am 6'2", and have a stock badlander seat on the Deuce.

Hope this helps. Good luck. Post the pics once you get it done.

Damn, you have those things way out there, how do you get the boot prints off the fender? [sm=joke.gif]
They look really nice on there and seem to fit you really well. At 5' 7" I bet I couldn't even reach them.

Citoriplus,
For me they are just right. I have a buddy who is 5"8" and he has to really streach out to reach the pedals.
Once I get a solo seat and some drag bars I will be all set.

Firestarter,
I belive they fit you fine. I just saw how far up they are and had this funny picture in my head of me looking like a 5 year old having to sit up on top of the speedo and still not being able to reach them.

It may sound funny, but before I actually took delivery of my Custom. I had already started looking around for someone to "fix" the seat and I was also looking around for SHORTER controls. On the dealers showroom floor the foreward controls felt a little borderline to me. I had never ridden a bike with them so I didn't know how they were supposed to be. So I started looking around for a solution to a problem that didn't really exist.
Once I was actually riding the bike for a couple of days I realized the stock setup was very comfortable and seems to fit me quite well.
So please excuse me if I find moving them 3" or more a little funny. It just brings up that picture of the 5 year old with his feet flapping in the breeze.

I'm 6'2" and the 3" extensions are perfect for me. Very noticeable difference from stock.
Gonna be great on that next long ride... of course, it's end of October and I live in Boston so it may be a while....

Citoriplus,
By funny I meant your comment about sitting on the speedo trying to reach the pedals. I pictured that in my head and said that would be funny picture.
