I have some Narrow Beach bars on order for my 2011 Cross Bones because I don't much care for the apes, mini or not.
In the very near future I'd like to add a passenger pillon and the tall CB sissy bar. It would make long trips easier as I would have a place to put things. But the only pictures I have seen have the stock bars in place.
Would it look silly to run the tall sissy bar with the lower bars?
I think it will look fine, but I would want to test the combo for ergonomics. You may find the fit uncomfortable becasue of the reach.
Do you mean the reach of the new bars? I'm 6ft and even with the apes pushed forward I can't get any forward lean. My arms are too long. I would like a more upright riding position without my lower back fighting the wind the entire time.
The sissy bar would be great to put a bag and have something to lean on for longer rides.
