Default front pulley change

Hey guys, if I wanted to put smaller pulley for the front of the bike, would it be a big job? Would I gain much? would the speedo be out? would the belt still fit? Thanks for the help.

Probably need a new belt. Big job? Can you pull the primary cover? Not just the round cover, the whole thing. It needs to be removed to get to the front pulley.

easier to change rear pulley.you have to pull outer and inner primary, clutch and compensator, and have a special socket to pull front pulley

There are four sprockets (pulleys) that are in play... each one has its own advantages and disadvantages, and idiosyncracies. You'll need to do a bunch of research to determine what is most appropriate for your bike, needs and wallet.

Least impactful is the clutch gearing - no belt change or speedo issues, but it is probably the most expensive option now since they've upped the cost. Also don't have to crack the inner primary case.

Rear pulley is a good solution if you have the room for adjustment - I was able to do so without having to replace my belt. Still impacts the speedo, but not a huge issue and can be offset with a TMax or other means.

Transmission sprocket is next, but may also require a belt change.

Least preferable IMHO is the engine sprocket (compensator).

There's a ton of information out there, just do some Google searches and you will find everything you need to make your informed decision.
