How about a front pulley to adjust your ratio instead? (And you can probably still use your stock belt.)

a front pulley swap may be smarter- longer on labor though.

a rear pulley swap may require removing the belt guard in addition to possible longer belt* AFAIK H-D has not used a larger than 70T pulley.
61,65,68 have been used over the years.
the cush drive may also be a concern.

* a belt swap involves even more labor than a front pulley swap, as the swingarm has to come off in addition to outer primary, primary drive, clutch and inner primary

Let us know if you find that 70 tooth with the cush drive. you can put 31 tooth front and do the same thing. Either one will give you a 2.96 final ratio. Stock ratio is 2.875. Makes 2.5 mph difference. A 30 tooth pulley will give you a 3.067 final which is 5 mph difference. It requires a 139 tooth belt. The 31 would work with the 140 tooth.

I'm headed out the door now, however search for the European Sportster with cush drive. I've read guys here doing a swap...in short its a bolt on. I'll check into this later and post back if no one responds.

A lot of folks do the 30/70 swap and I understand use the same belt. I found after a Stage 2 I didn't really think I needed the swap on my tourer. I am getting ready to do this (hopefully this weekend) on my dnya, the hd tri-glide front pulleys are 30 tooth and pretty reasonable for hd, I think about $72 is what I paid.

The Japanese Sportster Sprocket 40518-08 (68T) will fit the 08 EG bikes. I can't find a number for a 70 tooth with cush drive. If someone has this number please post.
