OK, tried to search and came up with nothing. my right side brake/turn/tail lamp on my rocker went out today. Its under warranty but I couldnt make it do the dealership today.

I called them and asked how much to just buy one since service isn't open tomorrow and dude quoted me $428 bucks!!!!!!

Anyway, does that sound right? I have googled my *** off and can't find a part number or price for that light anywhere.

Upon further searching I have found 60153-08 about $150, and 60153-08a, $428. Anyone know the difference?

Edit: Found the difference. 60153-08 supercedes to 60153-08a. Price increased by about 270 bucks. WTF?

I hope this isn't a common problem on these bikes.......

WTH? I'm not familiar with rocker anatomy but maybe it's just a bulb that burned out? maybe the 428 buck price is for the entire lighting unit housing and all?

It is $428 for the right side turn/brake/stop lamp. It is a sealed led unit. I have about 14 more months of warranty, so its no problem right not, but still WTF?

holy crapski...I agree with WTF, that's nuts. I wonder if maybe it's just a wire shorting out....LED shouldn't be bad already. but point taken...WTF

The led bulb is bad.....already checked. The new unit includes wiring that runs under the fender to the fuse box area under the seat. Doesn't plug in at the light itself.

Totally asshat design if you ask me. Kinda bummed.....been nothing but a great bike but thats more than a bit ridiculous.

Screw that. See if you get 12 volts from the leads. If so...buy a replacement LED assembly and trim it to fit in the lens cover. It is ridiculous to have to take your bike in to replace a light. You don't even do that on a 1/2 million $ Ferrari... that is just Harley Horse manure.

It's a common problem on the rocker. Had it happen twice, both times the right side. I now run Headwinds lights and just sold my stock lights to a buddy who had the same problem. He was quoted $260 for a new one though. I've been told Harley has other bikes with LED tails with similar problems. I think the connections in the light become suspect as I was able to tap mine both times it happened to get them to work.

problem solved
