Hi everyone--my son-in-law rides a 01 FatBoy--He doesn't like to go above 65 mph because he says--something happens to the bike at about 70 mph--I haven't had a chance to take it up--my question--is the 01 engine rubber mounted or counterbalanced--is what he is feeling "normal" vibration for that year??

 

It's counterbalanced and riding it over 65 will not hurt it (although it may hurt his hip pocket ). It revs higher and feels like it needs a sixth gear but nothing is being hurt internally.
