Default Need some help on custom tins...

Hello,

I am rather new here but I found myself in a little trouble.

I was in Florida visiting my parents and I found a very nice set of custom painted tins for a softtail at a local chopper shop. Well the price was unbelievable so I asked the guy once more will they fit my 97 fatboy and he said 'yes'. Well my parents brought them back to Wisconsin this weekend and it appears that the rear fender is off a heritage and has all the extra holes for the light bar and the bumper. Not sure what to do now. I plan on keeping the tins because I will never find another deal like this again. I was thinking of finding a light barand a bumper off a heritage and also of deleting the holes somehow for the light bar and just buying the bumper. I was wondering if you guys could suggest some options for me. Thank you very mich for your help. Also will I have any other problems that you can think of putting a heritage rear fender on my fatboy? Same years it appears. The front fender and the tanks are the same as mine.

Thank you again!!!

If the front fender is the same as your Fatboy it is not from a Heritage. They are completely different. The rear fenders of the two bikes are almost identical. You may have a rear fender that somebody modified.

Okay...well regardless its the same front fender as my fatboy and the rear has the mounts for the light bar and the fender tip like a heritage or maybe a deluxe. Beside these 'extra' mounting holes the rear fender is identical to my fatboy fender.

The Fat Boy has the same lights as the Heritage from the factory. The extra holes at the tip might be for the chrome emblem that can be added.
