On my way to work tonight not running it any harder than usual and all of a sudden I heard a loud ticking sound and it started backfireing and I was less than 1/8 of a mile from work so I limped it the rest of the way. I pulled the rear plug and it was bent and just touching the electrode. I shined a flashlight in the plug hole but couldn't see anything other that what looked like dings in the top of the piston. I was saving $$ for Vaccation but that don't look like thats going to happen.

If there is damage to the plug, there is damage to the piston and lots more. ck the air filter and make sure all the screws are still there have seen one come loose and go thru the engine. Stiil need to take the head off though
Something went through, hopefully you caught it with minimal damage.Seems like everytime I take my breather off I want to run a piece of screen or wire the screws just for this reason.Good luck
When I first got it and took my OL out for her first ride she said it was too slow, too quiet and it didn't have enough chrome on it. I've spent every dime I have gotten my hands on trying to fix that problem. LOL
I had 110hp/114Tq before and with what I've read online with the above, I should get about 130hp and about the same on tq
My wife said the next go-round she wants the Fat tire kit but I don't know if I want that or not. I've never ridden one with that and not sure how it would handle in hard corners.
