Picked the bike up out of storage a couple of weeks ago (inside at the dealers) and noticed it was riding really rough, very jarring over every bump. Talked to a friend and he suggested that we adjust the shocks to see how that would feel. Well we got the jam nuts loose the left side adjusted as advertised. The right shock is completely frozen, won't move and the adjuster is not turning at all. Thought it was a little rust and no dice can't budge it.
So the bike is at the dealers and they are looking to see if it's just corroded or if I blew a shock. Either way it's under warranty so they can fix it. And of course it was 83 on Sunday and I got to watch my buddies ride away as I got in my truck.
After reading on the forum about softail shock adjustment I think part of the problem is that the shock adjustment was all the way out, which from what I have read means they are set for the heaviest load the bike can carry. So my 200 lb butt was probably not even hardly moving them. Should hear tomorrow what they found and I will for sure get them adjusted right this time.
