I got the call yesterday that said parts had come in so of course I was excited to pick them up and install them!
Thanks to you guys I got the right parts and was able to complete the install without needing more things. Thanks to a tip on here I also planned my wire route before I get everything tightened down and I couldn't be happier! New cables and and brake line should be installed in the futer, but I'm having to binding or rubbing issues so it can keep.
While I was at it I also took the 2min to install the smoked lenses. Durring the test ride I was so happy with the riding postion and the feel I couldn't get the grin off my face. I tried, but it wouldn't go away. The position was so comfortable I felt all I was missing was a beer in my hand. 10x better than the apes! And the highway speeds weren't trying to blow me off anymore either!
I'm sorry for the crappy pic. It took almost 4hrs to get it perfect ant it was dark by then. I'll try to get some better angles for anyone who was considering these bars. I couldn't get enough pics to save my life.
By re-routing, what exactly did u do?disconnect ect?And how long did it take u?
sorry for all the questions, but those beach bars are starting to grow on me, thats why im askin!
The only things I had to disconnect were the turn signals before I reinstalled them with the relocation bracket (which you DO need). The wires were connected via tie wrap near the front of the tank and the wires were run nicely along the bars and the slack was pulled back out at these tie wraps and tucked under the tank.
I'll be getting the new cables and brake line within the next month, but it will be fine for now. It would be fine indefinitely as they don't interfere with anything but it looks a little sloppy. So when I do my front end service I'll pull off the tank, redo all the wiring, and replace the cables.
As it is right now, nobody would notice unless I pointed it out. And, the bar is dimpled and although a tight fit, CAN be set up for internal wiring. I might as well do that if I'm going to get the new cables. But again, this is all for looks, as it is, it's good, and works perfect. Start to finish took me about 3 and a half hours. But I was dealing with my 2 girls during that time and fumbling my way through the install. But I am very pleased with the results.
RIPbiker13, How about some side shots, they look killer from the front...giving me ideas already.

I'm really torn between getting taller apes, or going with these. I'm 6'4" so I'm wondering what will be more comfortable for me.
I love the apes bad @$$ look, but really dig the narrow beach bars old style flavor.
