Talking My first Softail, 2nd HD.

Well, I had a 2010 Iron, and wanted something little bigger, little more comfortable. so I found this 100th anniv Fatboy for a decent deal. And away the sportster went, I have to be honest- there is a part of me that misses it.

So here she is, 2003 with 12k on it, mint condition. pretty stock minus the pipe, and I think its lowered as well, hard to tell.

and the "old" steed..

Definately have some cosmetic plans; lose the front signals, the $50 integrated tail light, 16" gimps, detachable sissy bar/bags. New pipes are on the way as well as a power commander III and a heavy breather.

Not sure if i want to to forwards or not, or keep the boards. Time will tell. So far I love it, aside from the fact that the long trailer ride home shifted the forks, so now I have to dial that in which isnt a big deal, more of a royal pain.

PS the rear reflectors are already gone, so no need to worry LOL

Nice. I've thought about painting my wheel to make them easier to clean. Still up in the air on it though.

Welcome to the big twin world, haha! Great find, I'm a fan of all the black accents on it, especially those rims. I would peg the front, don't think I could ride with boards under my feet.

When you said your forks shifted, do you mean a tube slipped in the triples? The pinch bolts may have not been adequately torqued. Never heard of this.

Congrats on the Fatty. Looking forward to seeing it when you're done with the mods. Your "old" sporty was a mean looking little SOB. Don't know if I coulda let that one go, she's badass!!!

Enjoy the new ride!

Nice bike. Having ridden with boards now with my Heritage, I think I'd keep them with apes. I bet it was hard to let go of that Sporty...

badass, The way the bike was on the trailer with the wheel in the chock, lots of bumps (thanks great roadways of PA) I think it may have pulled the wheel and forks in the trees to the left. if you can picture what I'm saying, the trees and bar clamps straight, tired cocked a hair to the left.

BJ, I've always love dthe FB's, now i have my own!

Hummer and GZR, I dont want to talk about it LOL. i loved how she turned out, and I could have kept it, I have the funds, but I have this thing on my left hand...........(lol)

Nick, heres the pics. its a '90 with a 395 stroker carb car.
