Default Downsizing Bikes

Thinking about downsizing from my 08 Ultra SE3 for a smaller 2011 Softail Convertible CVO. Just want something different and smaller for a change .(have had 3 Ultras over the years) No longer do many long road trips and wife no longer rides due to medical condition.

Does anyone know of any problems or negative issues with the 2011 Softail CVO convertible that would not make it a neat bike to have if cost is not an issue?

Just trying to get a few pro's and cons without going into a lot of detail.

I have read several articles and they are about 50/50 pro and con.

Thanks in advance for your input, also posted this in the touring section.

Steve

Saw one of those at the Hickory, NC dealership the other day for 29,600. I believe that's about $2500 off msrp. It is blue/black. Looked really sharp.

Best advice I can give you, is head up to the Dealership and test ride it. You can get 1,000 people telling you it is an awesome bike, but when you get on it... NO GO! Go down and sit on it, test ride it, etc... only YOU will know if it is the right bike for you.

It'll be like going from a Cadillac cruiser to a hot rod. I know I would prefer the hot rod, but it's up to the individual.

I have an 07 RG with everything on it . I do have some problems with Gout and RA. I also have a X bones . The X Bones is a lot easier to ride. Clutch is a lot softer balance is easier and the springer ride is great . With the bags it still makes a nice weekend bike. I do miss some of the features of the RG. But the X Bones will let me enjoy ridding a litle while longer. I know this is 2 different bikes that you are asking about. But for me this worked out great and my wife has her own bike that she ride most of the time. For the short rides she dose not mind being on the back of the Springer

Going to be a big difference in how it rides.
