Unhappy Samson BG3's

I have Samson BG-3 pips on my 06 deuce and I'm tired of burning my leg and clothes. Does anyone know of a heat shield for these pips. They say the heat shield is attached already but don't count on it. Oh and if you want a headache while riding a jackhammer then you should get these pipes. If I had the bucks I would change them out but they came with the bike so for now a heat shield will have to do.

these pipes have heat shields built onto them. they are welded on. since it seems your bike may be running hot you should try to change your air/fuel mixture from the very lean condition you may be experiencing. there are many ways to do this so check with your local shop for a fuel optimizer. its the most affordable item to help with the lean condition you seem to be experiencing.
thank you,
JR / SAMSON

Lets see,,, the headers get around 600* and the heat sheilds are welded to them,, so they may only get 400* or so... Yeppers that can still burn Ya...

U bought the bike used so just take some of the $$$ U saved buying used and buy the pipes U want.
