give him a link to this forum and tell him to go to school here . we talk about this **** every day and we see new members with wheels on there rides daily. your taking them out of there comfort zone and they do not know what to do. get the bike out of there they will probably screw it up not noting a thing about what you want done.
Yeah mine said the same thing. The tire will slightly rub so they wanted $200 for install for fender modifications. Needless to say I am looking for a new shop or will tackle myself.
Stand by for the "that's why I always do my own wrenching" post!
x2. I have learned that MOST people cant be counted on these days. That sucks to say but its true. If you want something done right and right now do it your self. IMO

Yea, I was thinking the same thing! What can I do but go back down there and pick the bike up? The spacer is the one that came with the wheels! I'm friggin furious right now! This guy was reccomended to me by my father!
Did the dumb *** try using the stock spacers? I used the stock ones on my DNAs. the back bolted right up. I had to machine the front left spacer down about 1/8" to get the rotor to line up with the caliper. Its not rocket science. The guy sounds like he should stick to changing oil and not doing mods.

Right. But this only works when one knows what they're doing.
Valid point. I guess I have always been one to do my research and dive in head first. Once you do that a few times you build the confidence to just do it. Hell when I was a freshman in high school I couldnt afford to pay a meachanic to rebuild the motor in my lowered bug everytime I popped it so I had to figure it out. That happened quite often due to rodding the **** out of it.
