Thinking about putting 2 into 1's on my Xbones, hoping some of you will provide your opinions regarding what style of pipes offer best performance, toque, and sound. Is there a difference in sound ? Let's hear it guys - what pipes do you prefer and why.
Or might just put the stock ones back on with different slip ons.
As for why, with the true duals lost some low end torque (not that bad) but as far as I am concerned they are a bit too loud (yeah getting old) so kind of lean towards the supertrapp since they can be tuned for loudness/torque with the disk system. I might also go for their "quiet" pipes
Not very pretty but I get great power and sound out of a Thunderheader. Not sure how they would look on a crossbones thou. But they have been around for a while so maybe you could consider them old school.
Or might just put the stock ones back on with different slip ons.
Love the look of your bones.
I am also considering the Supertraps as I put them on my last bike 1500 Intruder and loved the sound. The fact that they can be tunes and made as quiet or loud as you want is a great feature. I like the black 2 into 1 for my black bones.
2 to 1 is better for hp and torque..looks is up to you..d&d fat cats or the new v&h 4 inch 2 to 1..the thunder 's i hear don't wear well..the chrome that is..the bassani is also a good pipe
