I just picked my deluxe up yesterday. I added the rhinehardt pipes, nice windshield with some flames and the reach seat. At 5'4, it seems to help more than the stock seat.

dont be scarred....slam it !!!! up front and the rear.it will be a stiffer ride,if your off roading!! but in a day or so you wont even notice. you here people in here talking about cornering and such, but its a hog not a ducatti , so dont put much heart into that . someone in here suggested that you lower only the rear, well ......i dont know if i should comment on that, but your bike needs balance, and when that balance is offset by a lowered rear and your weight, well the dynamics of your suspension will be off. so you must lower yuor front as well.eighbach suspension makes a great product for the front end, add some heavier weight oil up front and you should never feel it bottom out,a set of rebuildable progressive adjustable shocks in the rear do great as well.if your not a heavy guy then adjust them all the way out.$2500.00 for airshocks?( I know a shop that installs them for $1100.00 out the door)is not going to do you any good, unless you ride with the bags deflated.(now thats a $hity ride.)you need a lower bike not one that lowers after the ride.

Ive got my Heritage slammed with the Ness lowering kit, up front and in the rear. The smooth ride has been affected and its a lot ruffer on me when I hit big bumps. I knew what I wanted and knew I was going to have to give up comfort for the look I was going after. Sure, I drag my floorboards sometimes, but its not something that happens around every curve. It may be my riding style, but the lowering kit has not significantly effected my everyday riding. If you can deal with it, go for it. If you complainevery timeyou hit a bumpbecause its not like a cushion, then slamming it may not be for you.

I have the legends air ride but its to expensive for most about $2500 if you have someone install it.
$2500 to get your feet to the ground? For that kind of money, I'd just duct tape some 2x4 blocks to my feet.
LOL that was a good one!!! [sm=laughingsmilie.gif][sm=laughingsmilie.gif][sm=laughingsmilie.gif]

I'm sorry for asking a silly question, but I have seen all the remarks about dragging the foot thingys. What actually happens when they drag. I ask as I am still new at this. I would think that when they hit, the bike would almost pivot. Obviously it doesn't...but does anything really happen?

Those "foot thingys" are called floorboards. If you hit them they will just pivot and slide along the pavement. You just want to avoid letting the runnng board brackets hit as they are solid mounted to the frame and could cause you to lose control if you hit them hard enough.

I drag mine all the time and I am only factory lowered, granted I drag them because I want to. Its all about counter balancing. Watch Ride likea Pro, if you have no idea what I am talking about and take some advanced riding courses so you dont kill yourself.
