Really appreciate the comments and tips! The manual said 397 ml per tube and that's exactly what I put in each...the lowers were new and therefore dry. the tubes/dampers may have had a few ml of previous oil which would mean they may be a little more full than recommended thus less air space thus firmer ride. It doesn't feel bad at all so as long as my wheel doesn't fall off it's all good. Worst thing about the job was that lower stop bolt. I couldn't budge them with an allen wrench even after hitting them, heating them, or with a cheater bar. pulled out the air impact and 2 or 3 pops and they cam loose. I thought they broke but nope. Be sure to use a new nice and square ended allen (no ball end ones)...stripping the head out of one of those would be a nightmare, especially on the fork that doesn't have the removable end cap. cheers
