Question vss

Does a o5 softtail have a vss ? Would this make the bike have a miss and sputter in im at a loss with this bike thanks slick

It could. IS your bike carb or EFI? What is on it? Tuner? Anything recently installed? Let us know and we will be more likely able to help.

Yes EFI sorry about that. Had some cam work ever since then bike has run really bad. Ran great last fall local dealer is stumped. Also have a new pc dealer mine was bad. please help thanks slick

It soudns like the cams are not lined up properly if this started after the cam work. there are timing dots on the cmas that must be lined up properly when they are installed. I had a simialr issue taht was due to taking my speedo off and riding without it. The VSS gets a signal from the speedo to regulate the idle. Another thing to check is the crank position sensor. Is it dying at idle or what?

Not dying at idle . It happens say when taking off from a red light or stop sign or just going down the road at any speed. thanks for replies keep them coming slick

Cam alignment is my guess.
