Can't get bulbs in or out?

Ok, I feel like an idiot. Today my gf got her new 2011 Deluxe. One of the things I went to put on today were the frenched turn signal lenses. For some reason I am having a hard time getting the bulbs in or out. I have changed these many time on my Street Glide. What am I doing wrong? Ideas?

That is what I have been doing. Pushing and turning, trying both to the right and to the left. Now we can't even get one of the old bulbs back out. Any other ideas? This is crazy!!

Are you both blonds...LOL Slowly turn to right... push in (make sure it moves inward... when they're new they can be stiff)... while holding the bulb in turn left... Wala!!!
