My choice was somewhat guided by my height. I wanted something I could flat foot and something I could ride solo seat and passenger. My choice came down between the Heritage and Deluxe and I chose the Heritage. I am very happy but the CVO Convertible keeps catching my eye but the price keeps me away.
I went back and forth with the deluxe and fatboy. I love the deluxe, but I like the options with the fatboy. If I had the fatboy I'd want the deluxe, just of matter of wanting what I don't have
Love my train, but I'm getting a 2011 King or Street Glide soon. This is exactly the thread that bothers me, because I can't make a decision on all of them now!
The train is paid off and staying in the fam no matter what.
Ever had second thoughts on the bike you ended up buying? Love my Deluxe but keep getting drawn back to a Night Train. Just could not find one I liked when I was in the market for a bike.
Yeah....I wish Honda made my Fatboy...but it still looked and rode like a HD Softail.
no regrets here...i just try and make mine as un-standard as i can...
which from a clinical stand point would probably mean im not really happy at all...
aww man i hate self diagnostics...
I love my Dyna, and even though the Co is marketing the Deluxe as a "ladies model" heritage, I love that bike too! However, my dream Harley has always been a ST Custom. One of the evo ones from the 90s still with a carb. 5 degree raked out front end, small sissy bar, mini apes, and completely blacked out for a solo ride!
The Deluxe & NightTrain are about the 2 best looking bikes ever made, so I can understand where you're coming from. Just PLEASE don't ruin that beautiful bike with that dopey looking bicycle tire in the front that everyone from Cal. is running.
Yea;I regretted 1 bike purchase actually the day I was taking delivery, on election night when W was elected for his first term. Back in '01, when there was a waiting list for a new Harley, I had wanted a Twin Cam. The only one available immediately was a yellow SuperGlide Sport. While I was taking delivery,I thought "man, what an ugly bike". When I got home with it, My GF said "it looks like a taxi". That was all I had to hear. I traded it for a Low Rider as soon as I got the title.
I should have looked into the touring bikes when I bought my Deluxe. At first I thought I didn't need storage, a radio, or have the ability to take wifey for a ride. Yeah, I gould do a two up seat (it has to be comfortable and not look bad), add some bags, may some sort of music to the Deluxe, but it would cost alot....more then it would take to trade up for a Street Glide. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a Big Blue Pearl Street Glide in my garage where my Deluxe used to be by the end of this week.
