Second thoughts?
my bike? no regrets on the bike, she's my baby.
my pipes? I wish i had found this forum sooner and had gotten more information about all the exhaust systems that are available. I probably would have went with a D&D Fatcat or some other 2-1 setup, but since i spent $700 on my BSS's, I don't really have another $700+ for new pipes

Funny I actually went and looked at a Night Train before I made the Deluxe purchase..
However I have always wanted the Deluxe, but ended with a Nightster since cash flow was in short hand in 2008. I Really like the NT and Deluxe but because I already have a solo seater in the garage I went with the Deluxe and got the color I was wanting. I am now looking to trade in the Nightster for a used NT. But now I have my eye on a Street Glide as well... I think I may be developing a problem.

I love what my Deluxe has become but, there was a time that I wished that I had purchased a Heritage Springer as you can tell by all of the Heritage Springer parts on my Deluxe and the tank design.
dont second guess yourself your ide is sweet the deluxe is one of if not thee nicest bikes harley makes..the night train is well... just a night train
Since my mention of the SG on page 1, I notice a LOT of us have love for it. For me, the SG straddles the line between the Train and the King. Has components of both. My buddy has one... sweet ride.
My Rocker was the first Harley that I could see myself creating the type of chopper I had always wanted. Kinda old school with a fat back tire to make it cool to me. I love the Rocker for the solo type ride running hard with the rest of my buddies on a run or around town. I haven't even scratched the surface to try and customize it because my goal is to pay it off by Christmas (within 8 months total). Plus, I want to take my time with the winter mods and do them myself.
HOWEVER, I have struggled with the Deluxe since my purchase. I think the Deluxe is the perfect solo & passenger combo bike. I can put a solo seat and a pad for a passenger, keep the foot pegs on and travel too. Therefore, I want to keep the Rocker as my daily rider and get a Deluxe as my "Sunday" bike. The one to bring out for some special occasions and travel.
So, when I pay this Rocker off, my old lady has NO IDEA that a Deluxe will be purchased by Spring time. I'm not even going to put her on the loan. I'm just going to bring it on home. I have to do this now anyway because someday in the next few years I'll be retired from the Air Force and on a somewhat fixed income as I go to Harley mechanics school for my second career.
