Default Front suspension a little soft

Is it fairly easy to add fork oil to a 03 Heritage Softail Classic? A buddy of mine wants me to help him with this project.

Thanks.

Yes it is, but as you have no idea what's in there you would be better off replceing it.
The service manual says to just unscrew the top bolt on the fork leg and remove the drain screw at the bottom to drain it out. It also says that your "supposed" to replace the drain screws with new ones. Not sure if that's entirely necessary, but that's what the book says.
After you replace the drains you will need to add 13.4oz or 395cc of type "E" fork oil (HD PN = 99884-80).
Replace the top bolts and your done.
