Hey flsts, you are a great man. I recieved the pictures and I will proceed with getting them ordered. That is the only thing I can complain about on the Springer and hopefully this will fix the problem. Do you have the king windsheild or the compact installed. I have the compact and believe the king for the springer may help in addition to the lowers. Thanks again, man for the pics and reply. I owe you one

It 's the King. I'm 6'5' so a short windshield won't do much for me.

Glad I could help.

Alan-

I have an '05 Softail Deluxe and got the Chrome Softail Wind Deflectors, HD Part 58125-90B. I have a detachable king size windshield, and got the crap kicked out of my head with wind buffeting until I put them on. They work great.

Just wanted you to know, flsts, that I got the wind deflectors by Memphis shades as you suggested. They really do help with the wind problem I was having. I think I will buy the king windshield and will get more air deverted. I bought the compact which is not as wide because when I was ready to put the windshield on, they had the compact in stock and I did not want to wait for the larger one to be ordered.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for the help and the pictures. I searched long and hard to get this resolved. I am also really glad I found this forum, I just joined a couple of weeks ago. Great way to communicate on subjects we all have in common.

Wind problem? I had a rain problem, blowing up underneath my flip up helmet, talk about a pain in the rear. I wish that there was an easier solution (something a little classier looking too). A geezer cruiser would have been the answer but I love my bike!!! So I'm still putting up with it....

The deflectors will stop the problem you are having with rain. They are easy to install. Just takes a few screws. If you don't think they look good that is your choice. I think they look fine. The job they do is worth taking a small hit in looks of the bike in my opinion. Maybe arh1952 can offer a second opinion on the look of the deflectors on his bike.
