Default Explorer G-tech Seat on a FLSTC

Hi all,

I am wondering two things about these seats.

1) Can this be installed with the stock passenger backrest or does it require replacing that as well.

2) Does anyone have this seat and can rate it from a comfort perspective?

I am looking to make a few modifications so I can ride my 2011 Heritage on long trips in comfort. The seat is the first thing I need to look at. Right now anything more than an hour or so leaves me sore.

The Explorer G-Tech from Saddlemen seems to have the features I want, but I thought I'd ask if anyone has it and would recommend it.

Thanks.

Contact Saddlemen about the stock backrest, but I think it should work.
If you order one be sure they have a good return policy - like 14 days no questions asked. I tried a Saddlemen and Mustang solos seats before settling on an Ultimate solo with driver backrest. It only cost me the return shipping one one of the two returned seats.

Anybody else out there that can give some more info on the Saddlemen G-Tech seat? Preferably for 08 and newer touring models. Thanks, Stephan
