Default Cams and gear drive??

So im looking for a set of cams for my 96". I dont know what I should go with I have a SE heavy breather V&H big radius exhaust and a super tuner pro. I plan on going with a gear drive setup as well as a new set of cams but I dont know what cams to buy. I hear a lot about the SE 211 and the SE 255's I need some opinions on how its gonna sound and what kind of performance gains I should expect. Or maybe I should just get a stage 3 103 kit??

Thanks

Jay

For cams I would just use the chain drives as the new tensioners in the 96's work real good not like the old style ones. a 211 and 255 are like apples and oranges, 211's like more compression to make them work good and they have god mid and high torque where the 255's are big torque from the bottom but run out on the top. You will feel the cams more than the 103

Andrews 48. Do a search on here, then decide.

Those cams aren't available for gear drive. You don't need gear drives anyway. You already have the improved hydraulic tensioner setup. Your cam choice should depend on your style of riding and the bike you ride. A big guy who packs his ol' lady a lot needs a cam producing more low end torque like a S.E. 255, Andrews 26 and such. A lighter guy who rides solo most of the time might want something with more duration which will have less low end grunt but more horsepower at higher rpms, maybe Andrews 37, Woods 6 or 555.

Your cam choice is your decision, lots of good grinds out there. But listen to the good advice others have offered; stick with your chain drive and the hydraulic tensioners. You'll save yourself some headaches.
