Curious if anyone has thoughts on this one. 2010 Heritage.
I had the dealer put some killer apes on it in February, when I got it back I was looking at the sheet and I noticed that the tech said that both the front and the rear fender light bulbs were burned out, and they replaced them both. And in fact they were working when I checked out the bike after I got it back. Strange, I thought, but ok, it happens.
Well, had it out last night and I noticed they were both out again. (all other lights work fine)
Could be a pinched wire or loose connection somewhere, but the tech notation was that the bulbs were replaced, which solved the problem (argues against wiring prob). Odd…
Wouldn't be the first time that brand new bulbs burnt out really fast. Had the same thing happen to a turn signal and brake/tail light bulb on my girlfriend's Sporty last year. Two bulbs out. Replaced them. A week later, they were both out again including both filaments in the tail light. Checked everything and nothing looked wrong. Replaced them again and they've been in ever since.
If it happens a third time, then I'd start wondering.
