+1 on the Wild-1 518s. They are not really a Beach Bar in fact the Wild-1 call a Road King Bar. I'm at work in Windham NH today if you want to ride over take a look.
I had Wild One 0518's on my Heritage for a few years and 35,000 miles, and generally found them very comfortable. They kept the wrists at the proper angle and didn't have that "wheelbarrow" effect.
Recently, though, I wanted to try something different so I went with the Wild One 0515's, which are the 10-inch mini-apes. I thought about going a little higher, to 12" apes, but I would have had to change cables at significant cost, whereas the existing 0518 cables worked fine with the 10-inch mini-apes.
Bottom line: I find the 0515's to be more comfortable than the 0518's were, though I can't say exactly why, and the 0515's seem to offer better control as well.
I suggest that when you're ready you phone the folks at Wild One, express your concerns and ask for advice. I've found them to be extremely helpful and truly concerned about matching your needs with the right bars.
This is great guys, I know I am going to find bars that are going to be much more comfortable than the stock ones. All this feedback helps me out a lot, appreciate it.
I'm working today too, in Mass. Can't make it up there
