Oh, and I would spend the extra money and get them from a boat shop instead of RatShack. The boat switches will be made for a more hostile environment and won't corrode inside or out as quickly as standard electronics switches will.
+1 on Boat shop or supplier for switches! Even if you never, ever, ride in the rain you are going to wash the bike at some point right?

Would love to do Gripace but that is some pricey stuff for some damn buttons. I am still looking for the momentary switches. All i can seem to find is a push button. which i think i am going to have to end up going with. i guess those will work. I was just kinda looking for a switch board style look that will be mounted below my seat next to the starter.

What i was also thinking about doing is using some silicone so that i can seal the connections after i solder them.

Solder and heat shrink tubing will be plenty watertight.

****edit..... They make marine grade heat shrink tubing (has glue on the inside) if you really want water tight.

Scroll down and you will see a prewired switch. http://www.oxaero.com/OxAero-Installation-Supplies.asp

This is not the same one I used but seems similar. I just like the pre wired set ups because you have no connectors or screws to worry about. Just think if a screw came out going down the road your bike would just shut off!!

Although I would still go to a boat dealer, or iboats.com or any of the online.

Here's one example: http://www.iboats.com/SeaDog-Illumin...-view_id.39648
